The City of Cape Town commissioned Innovative Transport Solutions to update the city’s EMME Strategic Transport Planning Model as part of a multi-disciplinary team. The updates include continued refinements to the road and public transport networks, zonal structure, land use, trip generation, mode choice and trip distribution. With new alternative data sources available with technological enhancements, the team is identifying cost efficient ways to maintain the model going forward.
